She was previously the Director of Improvement Education and Development for the Southern NH region of the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic where she worked with interdisciplinary and intact work teams in continuous improvement, management training, systems thinking, and process redesign.Â
Kathleen is a member of the Clinical Microsystem Resource Group in the Quality, Education, Measurement and Research Department of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, which is a collaborative of colleagues continuously learning and applying principes of clinical microsystem thinking in diverse healthcare environments.  She has:
- Participated with the Vermont Oxford Network as a facilitator of their internet collaborative iNICQ, working wih 63 neonatal intensive care units throughout the world on improving nosocomial infection rates,
- Co-developed and facilitated a track to develop professionals through professional formation and work life,
- Collaborated with Senior Leaders and front-line staff to implement succesful change resulting in improvements for patient/family and staff, and
- Contributed as one of four faculty with Vermont Oxford Network's Collaborative of 12 NICUs with the country working to become "Your Ideal NICU" (YIN), testing the hypothesis that an intense focus on microsystem thinking and action learning can bring about demonstrated superior performance in the NICU.
In addition to healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and environmental health and safety, Kathleen has also worked with banking and computer organizations.
Kathleen is a certified Reina Trust and Betrayal in the Workplace⢠consultant/facilitator. She received an MS in Training and Development from Lesley College, a BS from St. Joseph's College and is a graduate of the Newton - Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing.
