Needs Assessments
While many organizations experience similar problems and challenges, each one must find its unique character and strength within its people. RDA's needs assessments clarify the "hot buttons" and prioritize the issues facing each group. Needs Assessments are confidential. Results are analyzed and reported in objective aggregate form, never identifying individuals.
Team and Organizational Needs Assessments
Through surveys and assessment conversations with all, or a cross section of group members and other designated indivduals, RDA identifies those factors contributing to and hindering effectiveness as well as the collective vision of the future and the obstacles in the way.
Information from our conversations is organized into a report, submitted to and reviewed by our client at a facilitated Assessment Review Meeting. Outcomes of this meeting include agreement about major strengths, development needs, and the priorities critical for success. Results are discussed in a safe, non-threatening environment.
A Needs Assessment is an extremely valuable forum for public, yet anonymous, discussion of team and organizational strengths and development needs. During the Assessment Review, important areas to work on are determined and organizational ownership is assigned so that subsequent intervention designs are relevant to real issues.
Needs Assessments gather information on:
- How the organization is poised for change
- How people will respond; how quickly they will recover
- How the organization compares to others attempting similar change
- How the leaders can adjust their strategy and message to increase the effectiveness of the change
- What is the company/team vision for the future (short and long-term)
- What are the obstacles perceived by group members to achieving that vision
